RE: Oklahoma City Campground

Be sure to visit the National Cowboy Hall of Fame/Western Museum. It's only about 2 miles west of the Twin Fountains RV park.

Cutting Boards

What is the best kind of cutting board? Not necessarily for the RV but for home kitchen use. If wood, what kind? I'm concerned about keeping good knives in good shape and not abusing them. Thanks Gene

RE: New Barn for the Motorhome

If it was me, I'd make it tall enough that I could inspect the m/h roof and be able to get up on it. I'd also make the barn long enough that I'd be able to park the m/h and toad inside and close the doors. Really nice in bad weather.

RE: Duramax lost power and engine light came on

I would DEFINITELY carry 2 or 3 extra fuel filters in addition to other truck supplies and fluids, etc. 2 or 3??? On the road with you??? Do you plan on traveling more than say 10,000 miles per trip???? I can see carrying ONE spare fuel filter. But two or three??? Say Whaaaaaat????? :B :B :B :B Yes that is exactly whzt is correct. Let me give you an example. Some folks like to get off the beaten path, boondock, etc. If they get a tankful of bad fuel and of course they are nowhere near a parts source and mechanic, you may very well need 2 or 3 fuel filters to get yourself and your rig to a repair facility. And according to Murphys law, a good repair shop but on a Saturday afternoon with no parts store, or out of stock for a few days...........well then I think you can see the wisdom and foresight of carrying 2-3 extra fuel filters. And of course I am figuring that you have the ability to change your own filter. Even if you find a mechanic he may not have the parts in stock, but "can get it in a few days".

Anybody try this? I just saw some in the store awhile ago and thought I'd try some. I love coffee! and I love trying out different brands and blends.

RE: Acid reflux--any soutions while TC'ing?

I take 1 Prilosec about every 5 days and that is all that I need. There are different types and causes of GERD, you need to GET YOUR SELF TO THE DOCTOR ASAP and get treatment.

Juicer Froth Foam Issue

Hi all, just got a new juicer-extractor, a Breville. We think it works great, except we are not happy with the foam and froth. When we go out and buy juice someplace, it is always so clear and clean looking. Froth and Foam just looks terrrible but still tastes alright. The owners manual, instructions and website have NO answers. Do you have any? Thanks

Melitta One Cup Filter-Maker Thingamajig

Anyone use one of those plastic Melitta single serving manual coffee maker thingamajigs? It's just a plastic thing that sits on top of a cup, you put a filter in it, then put coffee in the filter, and them pour in hot water. They only cost less than $5 or so, simple and low tech, nothing to break or wear out or fail. Only makes one cup at a time, but I think they have some others that make larger amounts. Thanks

Juice Machine

I'd like to get a good quality juice machine. I thought I'd seen a post lately about this but a search did not pull anything up. In short, I'd like a good quality machine, EASY TO CLEAN, powerful, easy to use. I don't want to buy an el cheapo and get disgusted and throw it away soon. I'd appreciate any advice, Thanks Gene
